Responsibilities: An exciting opportunity has arisen to academically lead, deliver and quality assure the T year medical specialties module. This 5-week module runs from February 2026 to April 2026. You will forge strong relationships with a broad faculty including University, Trust and Professional Services staff. The PBL Medical Specialties module is part of the Periodic Review curriculum review and includes relevant Investigation of Disease teaching, integrated learning weeks and decision-based problem-based learning. Topics include allergy, bacterial and viral infections, haem-oncology, maternal medicine and child growth and development. An interest in undergraduate education, problem-based learning and integrated curriculum is essential.

Key attributes / Qualifications:

  • Experience of teaching medicine at an undergraduate and/or foundation level
  • Knowledge of the MBBS curriculum at SGUL
  • Knowledge of relevant medical specialties to an appropriate level for the UK graduate
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel and Word and software skills required for a blended course delivery and willingness to undertake relevant training, as required
