Based in the Student Experience Directorate, the Student Communications, Voice & Community team use their expertise, knowledge, and student-centric approach to provide clear, accessible, and consistent student communications. They work collaboratively to create a culture of listening to and engaging with our students, supporting staff to gather, interpret and respond meaningfully to feedback. With a strong focus on belonging, the team build a warm welcome and sense of community for our students during their time with us.

Responsibilities:

  • You will lead central student communications throughout the academic year, from pre-arrival to Graduation.
  • You will manage a small team of professional staff and business partner with colleagues across the institution to communicate core messages, ongoing initiatives, changes and news to our new and returning students across the City St George's.

Person Specification:

  • You have solid experience of managing internal communications, ideally within the education sector.
  • You are an excellent writer and copy editor, being able to translate complex information into digestible messaging.
  • You can collaborate and network to effectively business partner and support the needs of colleagues in line with institutional needs.
  • You can plan, monitor and execute projects and processes to manage competing priorities for yourself and reports.
