Background: The Senior Research Accounting Officer is a key position in the Research & Innovation Finance team responsible for the financial management of research grants. You will be the business partner for the financial management of research grants in the specified School(s) at City St George’s, providing professional, customer-focused advice and support to researchers and Schools.
Responsibilities:
- Provide post-award financial administration for a portfolio of research and enterprise projects.
- Business partner with budget holders to manage and oversee project budgets.
- Ensure timely collection of research income through invoicing, raising claims, funder reporting, and payment of research collaborators in accordance with grant terms and conditions.
Person Specification:
- Extensive experience and knowledge in a similar role, ideally in higher education.
- Customer-focused, with strong planning, prioritisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with the Agresso system.
