We are looking for an enthusiastic and efficient Research Funding and Project Manager to take part in a range of ongoing clinical research studies within the Centre for Neonatal and Paediatric Infection (CNPI), focusing on Vaccine, Antimicrobial Resistance and Infection Prevention and Control studies.
As a Research Funding and Project Manager you will be responsible for managing complex research projects at CNPI, from identifying funding opportunities to project completion, including all aspects of pre‑and post‑award administration and ensuring compliance with CSG and funder regulations. You will work independently with minimal supervision and be required to anticipate and resolve problems that may bottleneck the achievement of agreed milestone goals.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for managing complex research projects at CNPI, from the identification of funding opportunities through to project completion, including all aspects of pre‑and post‑award administration and ensuring compliance with CSG and funder regulations. This involves hands‑on support and administration of complex proposals and/or projects, establishing good communication and appropriate approval processes with the JRES funding team.
Person Specification- Successful track record in managing and coordinating complex research projects in a university
- Accurate work and high attention to detail, including when under pressure
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; team‑building and management skills
- High level of prioritisation and organisation to manage a high volume of work and priorities effectively
- Strong organisational, time‑management and communication skills
- Enthusiasm and personal initiative to solve problems, a self‑starter with ability to work unsupervised
