The Senior Research Accounting Officer is a key position in the Research & Innovation Finance team responsible for the financial management of research grants. The role serves as a business partner for the financial management of research grants within specific School(s) at City St George's. The incumbent will provide professional, customer‑focused advice and support to researchers and Schools for the financial management of research grants.
Responsibilities
- Provide post‑award financial administration for a portfolio of research and enterprise projects.
- Business partner with budget holders in managing their project budgets.
- Ensure timely collection of research income through invoicing, raising claims and funder reporting.
- Ensure all research collaborators are paid in accordance with the terms and conditions of the grants.
Person Specification
- Extensive experience and knowledge in a similar role, ideally within higher education.
- Customer focused with strong planning and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of the Agresso system.
