Background
This post is an integral role to support a programme of research funded by the Fleming Initiative and GSK, focusing on global health and addressing the challenge of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). The successful candidate will work with the PI Professor Raheelah Ahmad (Professor in Health Systems, at City St Georges University, Research Strategy Advisor in Health Systems & Policy, and Informed Policy Pillar co-lead at the Fleming Initiative, Imperial College London) and other Co-Investigators.
Responsibilities
The postholder will be part of a multi-disciplinary research team primarily based in the Department of Population, Health and Policy at City St George’s, University of London; where they carry out high-quality research to improve health systems and capacity strengthening on innovation and change in national and international contexts. The successful candidate is expected to conduct quantitative research, including data collection and analysis, and use data science tools to prepare and validate analytical datasets.
Person Specification
The postholder is expected to have sound knowledge of quantitative research methods and their application, strong proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, R, SPSS or C), and a track record of successfully applying statistical or data science tools for research papers/projects. Comfortable working with complex, multi-source datasets and navigating ambiguity in real-world data, and it is desirable to have knowledge of antimicrobial resistance or infectious diseases. Experience of report writing and/or co-authoring peer-reviewed publications is essential.
