Background: City St George's, University of London has created the Digital Innovation and Transformation Office (DiTO) to accelerate scholarly, inclusive digital change across education and research. Reporting to the Director of Digital Transformation, the Head of Change and Communications will own the flagship Digital Transformation Dialogues programme, leading engagement that enables staff, students and partners to adopt AI-enabled, digital-first practices and realise measurable benefits across teaching, research and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Shape and refine the change management and communications strategy for all DiTO initiatives.
  • Own and deliver the quarterly Digital Transformation Dialogues roadmap, events and content pipeline.
  • Coach senior sponsors, coordinate multi-channel campaigns and manage crisis communications.
  • Measure readiness, adoption and benefits; report insights and embed continuous improvement.
  • Line-manage staff and nurture communities of practice that sustain an inclusive digital-first culture.

Person Specification:

Essential: Postgraduate degree or equivalent; change‑management and multi‑channel communications; proven leadership of digital‑transformation programmes across complex institutions; exceptional storytelling and stakeholder‑influencing skills; strategic vision, coaching and negotiation acumen; proficiency in adoption analytics; commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Desirable: Accredited change‑management qualification, advanced knowledge of UK HE policy and quality frameworks, and experience curating high‑impact engagement events.
