Background

We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Finance Continuous Improvements Analyst to join the Finance Continuous Improvements Team within Finance. This role will support the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, processes and policies, ensuring efficient, compliant and customer focused services. The post holder will play a key role in maintaining finance process documentation, supporting Oracle system functionality, administering finance systems and bank security access and contributing to projects that enhance operational effectiveness across the University.

Responsibilities

  • Assist to compile and manage the University’s fee matrix and associated processes.
  • Support updates to Oracle finance functionality and lead or assist with finance related continuous improvement projects.
  • Act as finance systems and bank security administrator, maintain finance intranet pages.
  • Troubleshoot finance-related queries.
  • Maintain accurate process documentation.
  • Provide operational support and cover within the Finance Continuous Improvements Team.

Person Specification

Candidates should be educated to degree level or possess equivalent workplace experience, with experience of administrative systems and procedures in higher education or a similar environment. Applicants will demonstrate strong organisational, analytical and communication skills, with experience of service improvement and managing competing priorities. Knowledge of finance processes, data protection, governance and compliance frameworks is essential, alongside an understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion principles. A commitment to customer service, continuous improvement and collaborative working is required. Prince2 qualification desirable.
