The School of Science and Technology provides a wide range of both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across a broad spectrum of subjects covering Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science.

The School is home to around 3,500 students studying full time, part time and in modular modes.

The School's Academic Services team provides administrative support and advice to academic and administrative staff within the School; it also encompasses day to day support for the School's degree programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily administration of allocated programmes including academic support, student administration and assessment.
  • Ensure provision of a proactive, efficient and professional service working closely with relevant professional and academic staff, particularly the Programme Director, to maintain and enhance the student experience.
  • Use independent judgement and initiative, strong administrative and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Accuracy and an eye to detail are essential for this post as well as excellent customer service and organisational skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience and administrative experience in an office environment ideally within higher education.
  • Excellent communication skills and exceptional organisational skills.
  • Ability to work comfortably within a team and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including experience of working with databases.
  • Experience with SITS/e: vision desirable.
  • Selection Process

The selection process will involve an interview and an exercise.
