Lead the provision, preparation, management, and maintenance of human material, including cadavers, prosections, plastinated & potted specimens used in anatomy teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Anatomy Section at City St George’s.
Contribute to the practical teaching of anatomy for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain anatomical specimens for teaching.
- Operate and care for cadaveric dissection resources.
- Demonstrate anatomy to students as part of teaching sessions.
- Coordinate with academic staff, students, and support staff to ensure smooth operation of teaching resources.
Qualifications
- Previous knowledge and experience in human anatomy and cadaveric dissection.
- Experience in specimen potting is ideal.
- Proven track record of preparing and maintaining anatomical specimens.
- Teaching or demonstration experience in anatomy preferred.
- Highly organised, methodical, computer‑literate and able to communicate effectively.
Presentation Requirement
During the interview, applicants must demonstrate a dissection to first‑year MBBS students, explaining the process and the revealed anatomy for approximately 10 minutes.
