Background

The Department of Nursing & Midwifery has a thriving team of academics committed to developing highly competent practitioners via our pre‑registration and postgraduate programmes. It has a strong portfolio of world‑leading research in a wide number of healthcare areas. The department works in partnership with service users and carers, alongside health and social care experts and providers, to develop and deliver education and research which shape future healthcare leaders.

Responsibilities

Senior Lecturer in Midwifery with academic and teaching experience. You will contribute to the development and delivery of innovative and engaging education across our pre‑ and post‑registration programmes and modules. The role also includes serving as Divisional Lead for Midwifery and NMC Lead Midwife for Education for an initial three‑year period.

Person Specification

Deliver high quality and engaging teaching across our midwifery and perinatal health programmes and modules. You should be registered with the NMC as Midwife, have an honours degree and postgraduate qualification, and possess significant experience in teaching, curriculum design and development and educational leadership.
