Background: The group studies lymphovascular diseases, specifically Primary Lymphoedema, which is clinically and genetically heterogeneous and is caused by defects in the lymphatic system that lead to swelling of one or more limbs or other parts of the body. Our work has focused on the genetic causes of lymphatic failure.

We are seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate for 3 years funded by the Rosetrees Trust and St George's Hospital Charity.

Responsibilities: You will be based at City St George’s University London (Tooting Campus) working in the Lymphovascular Research group. The post holder will be involved in the development of novel tools to build our understanding of the impact of Primary Lymphoedema-associated EPHB4 receptor tyrosine kinase variants on the downstream signalling cascades and their molecular and cellular consequences.

Person Specification: You will have a PhD in cell biology and/or molecular biology and ideally with proven track record in the fields of biomedical research, rare diseases or vascular/lymphovascular sciences. Post-doc experience preferentially in the fields of lympho-vascular research or gene expression regulation is desirable. A good understanding of the lymphatic system biology and function will be highly valuable. An academic interest and initiative which allows for development of the lymphatic molecular genetics programme at CSG will be advantageous.

Additional Information: Closing date for applications: 25th May 2026 at 11:59pm. Interviews are scheduled to take place w/c 8th June 2026. Further information is available in the job description.
