Background
The Professional Learning Team provide professional services support for the delivery of multi format professional learning opportunities such as Short Courses. A central team within Educational Enterprise, we work closely with the six academic schools as well as delivering our own courses. This work aligns with the needs of our community, students, staff and alumni.
Responsibilities
The Portfolio Manager will oversee the delivery and development of a portfolio of professional learning products, primarily short courses, ensuring a high-quality learner experience and smooth operational delivery. This role works closely with academic staff, visiting lecturers and support teams, acting as a key point of contact throughout the course lifecycle. Additionally, the Portfolio Manager will interact with schools relevant to their portfolios to ensure alignment and cross promotion of courses and degrees.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have experience in professional and lifelong learning; an understanding of the requirements to manage a portfolio of courses aimed at the non degree learner. They will have proven experience in a customer-focused administrative role, preferably within higher education or a similar environment as well as experience of managing key stakeholders in a highly complex organisation.
