This role is open to internal applicants for City & St George’s University of London only. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term 12-month maternity cover post in the Anatomy Section for a Lecturer in Anatomical Sciences. You will join a vibrant and innovative team of academics, clinicians and support staff to deliver anatomy education at under‑ and post‑graduate level on courses including Medicine, Biomedical Science, Physicians Associate Studies and a wide range of healthcare related programmes. Practical activities take place in the Anatomy Suite with a focus on human resources (plastinated and potted specimens), anatomical models and digital resources (Anatomage Tables and Complete Anatomy).
To be successful in your application you will hold a degree and a PhD or postgraduate clinical qualification in the relevant field and have experience of anatomy teaching and scholarship in a higher education setting. Experience of course design, assessment, small group teaching and supervising undergraduate research projects is desirable. In addition to the above you will also have a successful track record in anatomical pedagogy and/or research, a passion for delivering a great service and good customer service and a high level of prioritisation and organisation to manage a high volume of work and priorities effectively.
