Eligibility This role is only open to redeployed employees at City St George's. Applications from individuals who are not redeployed will not be considered at this time.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures across a range of modules including their specialist area and support assessment and marking.
- Act as a member of the Professional Studies team running clinical tutorials, liaising with practice educators and visiting students on placement.
- Lead a module on one of the programmes.
- Contribute to student support as an academic advisor.
- Perform other occasional duties to be discussed, such as interviewing and curriculum development.
Person Specification
- Specialist clinician with recent clinical experience as a speech and language therapist in any specialism.
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject.
- Experience in teaching and supporting students in higher education.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent communication and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Personal initiative and ability to work unsupervised.
