Background The Department of Interprofessional Healthcare delivers innovative postgraduate and foundation education that supports advanced, enhanced and collaborative healthcare practice. This postholder will contribute to the Introduction to Health Sciences, Introduction to Diagnostic & Therapeutic Radiography and related programmes, supporting students from diverse backgrounds to transition successfully into undergraduate health and medical sciences degrees. The role aligns with our commitment to widening participation, inclusive education and preparing the future healthcare workforce.

Responsibilities The Lecturer will design, deliver and assess high-quality teaching across foundation-level health sciences modules, including human biology, health systems, psychology and academic skills. The postholder will provide personal tutoring and pastoral support, contribute to curriculum development and programme enhancement, and embed inclusive, student-centred pedagogies. They will engage in scholarship related to health sciences education and support quality assurance, recruitment and student success initiatives within the Interprofessional Healthcare department.

Person Specification Applicants will hold an undergraduate degree in a health, biomedical or related discipline. A teaching qualification or willingness to achieve one is essential; Master or doctoral level study and evidence of scholarly or research activity are desirable. Experience teaching health or biomedical sciences at foundation or undergraduate level is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong commitment to widening participation, inclusive education and student support. Registration with a relevant professional body is desirable.
