Background
The Finance team at CSG has been restructured to create a more integrated, agile, and resilient function, with clearer roles, stronger accountability, and enhanced career development opportunities. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Credit Control team, ensuring accurate student fee billing, timely debt collection, and prompt receipt of Student Loan Company income.
- Deputise for the Income Manager and provide cover for the Accounts Receivable Manager when required.
- Support operational delivery by undertaking Credit Controller duties during peak periods or staff absences, and manage relationships with external debt collection agencies to ensure effective recovery of outstanding debts and continuity of service.
Person Specification
- Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) with significant accounting and financial management expertise, strong analytical and organisational skills, and knowledge of compliance, governance, and financial controls.
- An effective leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to drive service improvements, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality customer service.
- Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and commitment to equality, diversity, sustainability, continuous learning, and the University's values, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
