The Role:
They are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Working Foreman to join their dynamic team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring the smooth running of projects, and maintaining the high-quality standards that the company is known for. You will be working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and Directors. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise site teams, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to specification.
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the site, including coordinating trades, materials, and resources.
- Maintain high safety and quality standards on site, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and that project goals are met.
- Assist in the delivery of both heritage restoration and new build projects, with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship.
- Monitor project timelines and assist in meeting deadlines.
- Help resolve on-site issues, ensuring minimal disruption to workflow.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Working Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong background in heritage restoration or experience working on historical buildings.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- A hands-on approach to work and the ability to problem-solve on-site.
- A strong understanding of construction processes, safety protocols, and quality assurance.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings.
- Preferably from a Carpentry background.
- SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS Card and First Aid Certificate (preferred).
- A valid UK driving licence.
