Project Manager Project Manager | Major Industrial & Logistics Development | Near Portsmouth Project Manager 2-Year Contract Near Portsmouth, Hampshire £450 - £550 per day We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a major industrial and logistics development in Hampshire on behalf of a leading Tier 1 contractor.
This is a long-term contract opportunity offering approximately two years of work on a high-profile commercial development.
The successful candidate will lead significant enabling and civil engineering packages, ensuring safe delivery, programme adherence and stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle.
The Project The development is one of the South Coast's largest industrial and logistics schemes, comprising multiple high-specification distribution and commercial units for nationally recognised occupiers.
The scheme incorporates extensive infrastructure, external works and enabling packages and forms part of a significant commercial development programme.
The Role Reporting into the Senior Project Team, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of enabling and civil engineering works, coordinating subcontractors, stakeholders and project teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
This is a hands-on project leadership role requiring strong technical civil engineering knowledge and previous experience managing large-scale construction projects for Tier 1 contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of enabling and civil engineering works from pre-construction through to completion
- Lead site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners
- Ensure projects are delivered safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Oversee project programmes and monitor progress against key milestones
- Manage project budgets, forecasting and commercial performance
- Coordinate construction activities across multiple workstreams
- Drive quality, compliance and performance standards
- Work closely with commercial, design and site management teams
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout delivery About You We are looking for a strong Project Manager with a proven track record delivering civil engineering and enabling works on complex construction projects.

- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering civil engineering projects
- Previous experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor
