I’m currently working with a well-established residential developer who is looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join their site management team on a major regeneration project in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager with a keen eye for detail and a strong focus on quality, who can take ownership of finishing packages and ensure every unit is completed to the highest possible standard. The Role Working closely with the wider site management team, you will play a key role in overseeing the final stages of construction, coordinating trades and subcontractors, and ensuring all units are finished to the required specification and ready for handover. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee finishing packages across multiple units, ensuring all works are completed to the required standard. * Inspect completed works and identify any defects or snagging issues, ensuring these are rectified promptly. * Coordinate subcontractors and trades to maintain progress and meet agreed deadlines. * Monitor the quality of workmanship throughout the finishing stages. * Ensure units are completed in line with project specifications, building regulations and health and safety requirements. * Work closely with the Site Manager and wider project team to ensure a smooth and efficient handover process. * Maintain high standards of housekeeping, site presentation and overall quality control. The Ideal Candidate * Previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Manager or in a similar site-based role. * A strong background in residential construction, particularly with internal finishes and handover preparation. * Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify defects and drive high standards of workmanship. * Confident coordinating subcontractors and managing multiple finishing packages simultaneously. * Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. * Relevant construction qualifications, including CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS, and First Aid, would be advantageous. The Opportunity This is a great opportunity to join a reputable developer on a significant regeneration scheme, working alongside an established management team and playing an important role in delivering high-quality residential units. If you’re an Assistant Site Manager who takes pride in the quality of their work and has experience driving finishing packages through to completion, I’d be keen to hear from you. Interested?
