We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a public sector social housing contract based in Oldham and surrounding areas. This is a long term contract role focusing on housing maintenance, repairs, and planned works, working closely with site teams and housing clients.

Role Details

  • Location: Oldham (site based with some hybrid working considered)
  • Start Date: May 2026
  • Contract Length: Initially to December 2026, with strong likelihood of extension
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Rate: 59.38 per hour (Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial management of social housing maintenance and repair works
  • Subcontractor procurement, tendering, and appointment
  • Managing valuations, interim payments, variations, and final accounts
  • Cost control, forecasting, CVRs, and financial reporting
  • Supporting site teams to mitigate commercial risk
  • Change control and cost recovery
  • Working closely with client representatives and operational teams

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing
  • Strong background in repairs sector contracts
