City Site Solutions – Scotland are looking to recruit a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer on staff basis for one of our clients based in Motherwell.
Duties
- Manage and deliver design work throughout design and build projects in collaboration with the project teams and take full accountability for the design of mechanical services for data centres and other mission critical projects.
- Undertake design reviews and appraisals and provide technical advice/assistance to the projects teams.
- Take responsibility for checking calculations and provide monthly design progress reports in each project reporting on technical risks and opportunities.
- Provide design/technical assessment support of tenders and deliver high quality design solutions that address contractual obligations and mitigate technical risk.
- Be the senior engineer on projects and lead regular design meetings with the project team.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in mechanical/building services engineering, i.e. BEng/MEng is desirable.
- Proven experience in mechanical services design in line with appropriate standards, guidance and client’s requirements.
- Experience of working on multiple projects concurrently and manage and communicate priorities with the team.
