Our client is a leading specialist in interior fit-out and joinery. They are currently seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join their dynamic team in central London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for bespoke joinery and carpentry projects.
  • Prepare detailed cutting lists, fabrication drawings, and assembly instructions for manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and workshop personnel to ensure design feasibility and smooth project execution.
  • Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to develop precise shop drawings for production.
  • Conduct site surveys when necessary to gather dimensions and confirm on-site requirements.
  • Update and revise drawings based on client feedback and internal production requirements.
  • Maintain drawing registers and ensure all documentation is accurately archived and up to date.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and company quality benchmarks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a CAD design or draughtsman role within the carpentry and joinery or interior fit-out sector.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is essential.
  • In-depth understanding of joinery construction methods, materials, and workshop processes.
  • Ability to interpret and convert architectural and engineering drawings into manufacturable components.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
