Our client in Property and Construction consultancy is looking for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join them in Bournemouth. This is a client-side role based in the Winchester area. (Hybrid)
Duties and responsibilities:
- Pre-construction
- Undertaking feasibility studies
- Performing risk and value management assessments
- Compiling tender enquiries
- Procurement
- Cost Planning
- Tender analysis
- Negotiating tenders and contracts
- Contract drafting
- Contract administration
- Change management, assessment and instruction
- Applications and payments
- Final account negotiation
- Report writing
- Fund monitoring
- Chairing meetings
Requirements:
- Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
- Personable nature
- A desire to learn and the ability to learn quickly
- A reasonable understanding of construction methodologies and techniques
- The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Preferably degree (or equivalent) educated (not necessarily in quantity surveying) although this is not essential
- A full clean driving licence and own vehicle
