We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join one of our clients, a well-established national contractor specialising in sports and leisure construction projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of new build and extension projects across the South of the UK, with individual project values ranging from £200,000 to £1 million.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of 2–3 projects concurrently, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Projects typically include:

  • New build sports and leisure facilities
  • Extensions and refurbishments
  • Installation of sports pitches, tennis courts, padel courts, and associated infrastructure

You will act as the main point of contact on-site and liaise closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing projects from pre-construction through to handover
  • Planning, programming, and resource management
  • Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers
  • Monitoring budgets, variations, and project costs
  • Ensuring health & safety compliance on all sites
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and reporting progress
  • Managing multiple projects across different locations

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the sports and leisure construction sector
  • Strong background in new build sports facilities
  • Experience delivering projects between £200k – £1m
  • Knowledge of sports surface installations (pitches, tennis courts, padel courts, etc.)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel across the South of the UK
