We are currently working on behalf of a key client who are looking to appoint an experienced Finishing Manager to join their on-site team on a large-scale industrial new build and refurbishment project. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finishing Manager who takes real pride in the quality of their work and has a keen eye for detail, with responsibility for driving the project through to completion and ensuring all finishing works are delivered to the highest possible standard. The Role As Finishing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all final finishing activities across the project, working closely with the site management team, subcontractors and wider project team to ensure the development is completed to the required quality and programme. Key responsibilities will include: * Managing and coordinating all finishing works across the project. * Overseeing subcontractors and trades to ensure works are completed to the required standard. * Carrying out regular inspections of completed works. * Identifying defects and compiling detailed snagging lists. * Managing the close-out of all snagging items through to completion. * Ensuring all finishes are completed to a high-quality standard and within programme. * Working closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors to resolve outstanding issues. * Monitoring progress and ensuring finishing activities remain on programme. * Maintaining high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and presentation throughout the final stages of the project. * Ensuring the project is ready for handover and completion. * Providing a strong focus on quality, attention to detail and achieving a high-quality finished product. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have strong previous experience as a Finishing Manager, ideally working on large-scale commercial, industrial, refurbishment or new build projects. You will need to demonstrate: * Proven experience managing finishing and completion stages of construction projects. * Excellent knowledge of all final finishing trades and construction processes. * A keen eye for detail and a strong focus on quality. * Experience compiling and managing comprehensive snagging lists. * The ability to effectively manage subcontractors and drive outstanding works through to completion. * Strong organisational and communication skills. * The ability to work to tight deadlines and programme requirements. * A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before handover. * A professional approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a wider site team.
