City Sightseeing Glasgow offers amazing guided bus tours and our Tour Guides play a central role in bringing the city’s history and culture to life for our customers. We’re looking for friendly, confident people with great communication skills and a passion for Glasgow to join us for the 2026 season.
What you'll do:
- Deliver engaging, informative, and entertaining live commentary on our hop-on, hop-off open-top tours.
- Share stories, facts, and insights about Glasgow’s history, culture, people, and landmarks.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure every passenger enjoys a memorable experience.
- Support passengers with queries and assist the wider team when needed.
What we're looking for:
- A warm, outgoing personality and genuine enthusiasm for Glasgow.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
- Customer-focused attitude with patience, confidence, and a helpful manner.
- Experience in travel, tourism, hospitality, or guiding is desirable.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays.
Training and support:
We provide full training tailored to our tour and service standards, including:
- A structured in-house 6-week training programme (Wednesday evenings & Saturday sessions).
- Shadowing experienced guides before going out independently.
Hours and availability:
Part-time seasonal role (early April – end September). Minimum two shifts per week (you must be available to work weekends and participate in a weekend rota).
