We are looking for a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our busy chilled food production team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong production background who can lead a team, maintain high quality standards, and ensure production targets are achieved in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities within a chilled food production environment.
- Lead, motivate, and support production operatives to achieve daily production targets.
- Ensure all products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor productivity, minimise downtime, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures at all times.
- Complete production records and reports accurately.
- Conduct daily team briefings and allocate work effectively.
- Monitor staffing levels and support training and development of team members.
- Work closely with Quality, Technical, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth production operations.
- Investigate and report production issues, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the production area.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a production supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a chilled food production environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage production teams.
- Excellent organisational and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Competent with production paperwork and basic computer systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within food manufacturing.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
