Our client, a city-based Residential HNW Property Lender, seeks an experienced credit admin manager to ensure that all lending facilities operate within the limits agreed by CIUK Credit Committee or Group Credit Committee. This includes, although is not limited to, the following:
Principal Duties- Day to day management of all credit administration issues
- Work closely with the Head of Credit to ensure that the bank's interests are promoted and protected at all times
- Report to the Head of Credit on progress and on key performance indicators in general
- Meet as required with the Senior Business Development Manager to discuss credit administration issues, maintaining the independence of the function
- Meet with internal auditors, external auditors, and the regulator as required
- Ensure that all work is completed to a professional standard with audit trails as appropriate
- Ensure that the credit administration procedures are updated regularly and that there are adequate procedures in place that explain the function and key processes
- Comply with the rules, evidential provisions, and guidance set out in the FCA's Principles for Businesses
- Timely and accurate recording of facilities on T24
- Maintenance of a clear audit trail of all relevant documents in electronic form (and paper if necessary)
- Confirming the bank has adequate security prior to drawdown
- Confirming that conditions precedent are met prior to drawdown
- Drawdown of facilities
- Ensuring that all annual reviews are conducted in a timely manner
- Ensuring that all insurance reviews are conducted in a timely manner
- Confirming that loans have been repaid in full prior to the release of security
- Establishment of systems and procedures to monitor specific requirements, e.g., mandatory insurance, staged drawdowns etc.
- To be the bank's primary credit administration contact
- To provide credit administration training as required
- To help the bank accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluation and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance of processes
- Facility Letters: Following CIUK Credit Committee, establish all facilities which have been approved
- Maintain a master listing of all approved loans and manage the timely production of accurate facility letters
- Ensure the facility letters are only sent to borrowers after onboarding of the borrower
- Ensure that signed, accepted facility letters are in the bank's possession prior to drawdown
- Liaise with front office staff where facility letters have not been completed by the borrower(s)
- Appoint solicitors and valuers
- Drawdown: Ensure that valuations are appropriate and timely in relation to the facility
- Ensure that all conditions precedent are met prior to drawdown
- Obtain solicitor confirmation that any security is charged to the bank
- Obtain a copy of the Land Registry/Companies House charge certificates or equivalent
- To drawdown the funds
- Set up the loan, limit, and collateral record in T24
- Release of Security: Ensure that the bank never releases any security without the prior consideration of the credit risk department
- Ensure that no security is ever released unless there has been full repayment of all related amounts outstanding
- Release the security
- General Administration: Maintain a clear and auditable electronic (and paper if required) filing structure such that all key documents are immediately available
- Maintain a diarised system of reminders for RMs when a facility's annual insurance confirmation is required

- Report outstanding annual reviews and insurance confirmations by due date in the Monthly Credit Meeting
- Risk Management: Provide regular appraisal for management as to risk and control infrastructure related to credit administration, with particular emphasis on ongoing facility security issues
- Determine whether the systems and controls established by management have operated as laid down (in the department's control documentation) and comply with policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and other relevant requirements
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory returns
