To act as the Subject Matter Expert for Transaction Reporting, primarily focused on MiFID and EMIR REFIT regulations. The role is also responsible for supporting the enhancement of post-trade transaction reporting processes in line with the relevant Regulatory Technical Standards and to drive regulatory change initiatives. Working closely with internal stakeholders and senior management, the position aims to strengthen governance, controls, and operational efficiency in transaction reporting, while providing clear management information, leading internal working groups and supporting the development and knowledge sharing of the wider team.
To work alongside and support the Treasury Group and the Market Making & Solutions Groups within the GMU (as risk owners) to help deliver robust post-trade Transaction Reporting solutions and ensure effective front office controls. Furthermore, to help grow the Departments processes and build strong performance in line with the Global Markets Unit's business strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Transaction reporting, primarily focused on MiFID and EMIR REFIT.
- Assist and support Head of Department in driving and enhancing post trade Transaction Reporting solutions and change management.
- Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to strengthen and adopt Transaction Reporting Controls and improve efficiency.
- Contribute as required to support and maintain compliance with future Transaction Reporting regulatory requirements.
- Provide Senior Management Information (MI) on the progress of Transaction Reporting issues and the implementation of solutions.
- Chair internal MiFID and EMIR Working Groups.
- Mentor department team members, helping to foster collaboration and ensuring operational continuity and transfer of knowledge.
- Undertake departmental tasks to maintain a balanced workload, providing opportunities for teamwork, particularly once improvements in branch transaction reporting reduce routine responsibilities.
- Handle any relevant assignments or duties requested by Head of Group and Head of Department.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working with MiFID and EMIR Refit regulations.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working with MiFID and EMIR Refit regulations for Assistant Manager.
- Deep understanding of policy statements and regulatory reporting requirements across MiFID and EMIR Refit.
- Ability to analyze and clearly communicate complex issues related to Transaction Reporting.
- Experience leading Transaction Reporting change projects is desirable.
- Experience participating in industry consultations and working groups.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income, FX and Derivatives (including OTC and Exchange Traded Derivatives).
