The Role: As a Regional Director for our Contract Operations, you will report directly to the National Sales Director and support a total sales profile of circa £100 million. You will focus on operational excellence, service delivery, branch overhead management, and fleet efficiency. Efficient, reliable delivery and exceptional branch operations are fundamental to our contract customers' success, so you will ensure our operational capabilities scale perfectly with new account wins and existing volume demands. You will provide highly effective leadership to branch teams and work seamlessly with regional sales teams to ensure volume planning and transport optimisation are flawlessly executed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and embedding a zero-harm safety culture across all 15 branch sites, yards, and delivery fleets.
  • Ensuring 100% compliance with Group Health & Safety regulations, environmental policies, and strict adherence to transport and fleet compliance guidelines.
  • Taking ultimate accountability for the physical movement of products from the branch network directly to the customer's site, driving rigorous adherence to On-Time In-Full delivery targets.
  • Overseeing the daily execution of branch transport operations to ensure delivery schedules and dynamic vehicle routing are highly optimised.
  • Working hand in hand with both regional and national sales teams to ensure complete operational alignment and proactively reviewing the sales pipeline for capacity planning.
  • Providing effective leadership and management of branch teams, directly coaching and mentoring circa 15 Branch Managers.
  • Managing full accountability for regional branch overheads, transport budgets, and operational expenditure.
