As a 3.5 ton Driver, you'll be committed to delivering an outstanding level of service, professional, driven and enthusiastic. The role reports into the branch management team and provides the highest level of service to internal and external customers, delivering products to customers against tight deadlines. You will interact with customers, delivering goods and solving any problems that arise. Our 3.5 ton Drivers are a fundamental part of our branch teams and may be required to help out in branch — serving on the trade counter and dealing with customers over the telephone to maximise service and sales. You will promote and embrace an inclusive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Health and safety of yourself and your vehicle
- Maintenance and condition of your vehicle
- Report any issues or incidents to your line manager
- Comply with transport compliance law and regulations
- Support the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager with achieving and exceeding sales targets at optimum margins
- Maintain high standards, create and maintain a loyal customer base and provide a first class service
- Assist with general duties within the branch such as serving customers on the trade counter, telesales and ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained on the trade counter and warehousing
Qualifications
- Clean driving licence
- Ideally previous driving experience and knowledge of products in our industry
- Strong customer service orientation and willingness to support branch colleagues
