Come and join us as a results-driven Sales Assistant on a flexible hours basis to deliver sales and exceed customer expectations as part of a successful branch team. As a Sales Assistant, you’ll be committed to delivering outstanding service. You’ll be professional, driven, and enthusiastic. The role is customer-facing, providing excellent service on our trade counter and over the phone, maximising sales at every opportunity. You will be contracted to a set minimum number of hours per week and may be required to work additional hours, especially during the peak winter heating season. Hours and shifts will be scheduled with notice, and you’ll be encouraged to promote an inclusive team environment and enjoy your work!
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager in achieving and exceeding sales targets at optimal margins.
- Maintaining high standards, creating a loyal customer base, and providing first-class service.
- Assisting with branch duties such as serving customers, telesales, and maintaining housekeeping standards.
- Possibly taking on general driving duties when required.
Candidate Profile
You’ll enjoy working within a team and have a focus on driving results, acting with integrity and honesty. Flexibility with working hours and a customer-focused approach are essential. Previous experience in sales or customer assistance is preferred, ideally with knowledge of our industry’s products, but enthusiasm and a positive attitude are equally important.
