As a Regional Operations Manager at City Plumbing, you will be instrumental in our mission to improve homes, businesses, and lives. Working as part of the regional team, you will lead the performance and development of our workforce across multiple locations, ensuring excellence and coaching highly knowledgeable teams. You will act as the bridge between current operations and future innovation, championing digital service offerings and modern ways of working to consistently provide the best solutions for our customers.
Operational Leadership: Influence the performance of Branch teams by supporting the Regional Director (RD) to achieve business KPIs.
Performance Management: Monitor and action plan across all branch metrics, including P&L performance, sales, and compliance.
Operational Excellence: Maintain a sharp focus on product availability, fleet efficiency, and high branch and showroom standards.
Compliance & Safety: Oversee remote audit scores, PI Count Dashboards, Stock Management Dashboards, and Accident/Near Miss reporting and investigation.
People Development: Manage engagement, employee turnover, and absence, ensuring every colleague understands their impact on the customer experience.
This is a role involving travel throughout a specific area, so a full driving license and ability to travel is a must! We are looking for a practical problem solver and a great communicator who is data-savvy and has a keen commercial eye.
Operational Success: A proven track record of hitting targets, from sharpening delivery times to controlling stock losses.
Handling Change: Experience leading teams through new ways of working.
Safety Record: Proven experience managing safety in busy environments like warehouses or transport hubs.
Technical Knowledge: A solid grasp of H&S rules, transport laws, and operations/logistics.
Financial Literacy: Comfortable with P&L exposure and using reports to spot regional wins or areas for improvement.
