The rebate collection analyst plays a pivotal role in the timely and accurate collection of rebates debt across the City Plumbing estate. This role will be working closely with commercial/finance and external stakeholders (Suppliers) to ensure rebate debt is collected in line with agreed payment terms and reconciliations are completed back to our accounting records. Attention to detail is central to this role as supplier agreements are subject to a varied set of rules, with no two the same. You will be responsible for checking the accuracy of the rebate payments being received.
You will need to have the confidence in your ability to enable you to build strong relationships with both the commercial team and Finance Team. It will be important for you to persuade commercial teams of the importance of following processes to ensure accuracy of payments and accruals. Finally, a good level of organisation and ability to focus on the task in hand will be vital to your success in the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier rebate debt collection and management of aged debt within our rebate system.
- Allocation and approval of rebate payments received via credit note & Bacs on a daily basis.
- Creation and allocation of supplier debit notes on a monthly basis to collect outstanding rebate debt.
- Management of the rebates mailbox managing queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Rebate reconciliations between actual payment received and system accruals, reporting variances to suppliers, commercial and finance in a timely manner.
- Supporting the finance manager and finance analyst in month end close tasks (Journal creation/postings, balance sheet reconciliations).
- Analytical reporting for finance/commercial providing insights on supplier trends and outstanding debt positions.
- Working closely with internal commercial stakeholders and suppliers to ensure debt is collected in line with expectations.
This is a hybrid-based opportunity with true flexibility to work from home, but you should be within commutable distance of our offices in Crick, Northamptonshire.

Qualifications:
- Studying towards becoming fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).

- Able to deal with large volumes of data and analytical reporting.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with excellent time-management skills.
