Come and join us as a results-driven Area Sales Representative to grow our market share and deliver outstanding regional growth as part of our high-performing sales team. As an Area Sales Representative, you know that winning business isn’t just about the product; it’s about the person. It requires trust, local knowledge, and the tenacity to open doors—this is where you come in! You will be the face of City Plumbing in your territory, identifying and capitalising on every opportunity to grow our customer base. The Area Sales Representative will be an expert at building rapport quickly and managing a diverse portfolio of trade accounts. You’ll be out on the road, creating trusted partnerships that ensure we are the first choice for our customers. You’ll naturally promote and embrace our inclusive team environment, and we’re sure you’ll have some fun along the way!

Responsibilities

  • Proactively look for new business while nurturing and growing existing trade accounts within your designated territory.
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to consistently meet and exceed sales and margin targets.
  • Collaborate closely with Branch Managers and teams across your area to ensure a seamless service for our customers.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, keeping your finger on the pulse of local market trends and competitor activity.
  • Utilise CRM tools to manage your pipeline effectively and provide accurate forecasting.
  • You’ll have an innovative and agile approach to identifying growth opportunities.
  • You’ll enjoy working autonomously but with a dedicated focus on driving collective results, whilst being committed to acting with integrity and honesty in everything you do.

Qualifications

  • Tenacity and resilience – you aren’t afraid of a challenge or a "no."
  • A pro-active approach to sales, with a proven ability to win and grow new business.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to influence at all levels.
  • Self-confident and self-motivated, with the ability to manage your own diary and work on your own initiative.
  • Ability to interpret financial data to drive profitable growth.
  • Full UK Driving License is essential.
