Do you have NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Plumbing? Are you an experienced Plumber? Do you have a current UK Driving Licence? Our local authority client based in York is looking for a qualified Plumber to start immediately. This role is temporary for a minimum of 3 months, with the potential to go from temporary to permanent.
You will need to have your own transport, work will all be within the York District. Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week working within a pre-allocated appointment system. The rate of pay is up to £25.00 per hour dependant upon experience.
You will have a proven track record of working in a customer focused environment to carry out building repairs and maintenance and renewals ranging from emergency and other routine reactive repairs on numerous sites daily to single site programmed repairs and refurbishment work. The work will involve a mix of residential / domestic homes and flats.
The ideal applicant will first and foremost be an experienced and well skilled plumber, ideally with a residential and/or commercial background. Although you will be working as part of a team, we expect the successful candidate to carry out the necessary work themselves, at times without supervision. You will also need to be confident in liaising with the wider team and following instructions.
For this role you will need to have a current UK driving licence and hold the appropriate trade qualifications (NVQ / City and Guilds or equivalent). You will also require good organisational skills and ability to prioritise a busy and reactive workload.
