We are seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic for an immediate start, initially on a temporary basis for a minimum of 3 months. There is potential for this position to become permanent.
Working days are Monday to Friday, with 40 hours per week, across two shift patterns. The pay rate is £16.27 per hour, with opportunities for paid overtime.
Your responsibilities will include assisting the fleet team with servicing, inspections, repairs, modifications, and fabrication of vehicles, plant, and equipment for our client, including MOT work. This involves inspection, diagnosis, and signing off that all vehicles meet the required standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 City & Guilds qualification as a Motor Fitter
- Fabrication skills; welding experience is a plus but not essential
- Cat B driver’s license; Cat C license and Class 4 & 7 MOT Tester licenses are advantageous
