Work with York Limited are looking to recruit 6 individuals to join a client's busy Road Safety Training Team.

Job Summary

Flexible work all year round. You will be required to deliver Bikeability Levels 1, 2 and 3 training, Pedestrian training for school years 3 and 4, and Balance Bike training for pre‑school and reception children. The rate of pay is £16.33 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Bikeability 1, 2, and 3 training sessions to primary and secondary schools.
  • Deliver Pedestrian training sessions for school years 3 and 4, and Balance Bike training for pre‑school and reception children.
  • Engage with schools in classrooms and assemblies.

Requirements

  • Qualified to deliver Bikeability Levels 1-3 by holding the 1st 4Sport Level 2 award in Instructing Cycle training, or willing to undertake the paid qualification.
  • Ability to cycle up to 25 miles per day to deliver training across the City throughout the year.
  • Regular cyclist and able to work with all age groups.
  • Proficient with IT programmes, particularly Excel and Word, email, and using a smart mobile phone.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults; may need to undertake an enhanced Criminal Record check via DBS, unless already holding a DBS on the Update Service.
