Work with York Limited are working with our York based client, to find two experienced Social Workers for Practice Development in their Adult Social Care Services teams. This is to provide support and training to direct case-holders. This is a temporary, full time 6-month assignment Monday to Friday, with a scope to be extended. Hybrid working is available and weekly access to the York office is required.
Competitive rate of weekly pay, holiday pay and pension with online timesheets.
This role involves:
- ensuring high quality practice, in accordance with procedures, practice guidance and the Practice Model.
- supporting the Service Manager through supervision of practitioners, particularly ASYE, those in the early stages of their career, and those who do not hold a Social Work qualification.
- driving practice and overall outcomes, for people with social care needs and their carers.
- providing peer support to qualified social workers, ensuring a high quality practice.
- assisting social workers with decision making.
Essential skills and experience for this role:
- a relevant Social Work qualification.
- minimum of 5 years recent Social Work experience within an Adult Social Work team.
- IT skills, preferably experienced with Mosaic.
- Be eligible to work within the UK.
- Must be SWE registered.
- an enhanced adults DBS on the Update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
- The ability to show creativity and show strong values and standards.
Pay will depend on qualifications and experience.
