We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join us as Head of Housing Investment and Assets for a 12-month period. Applications are welcome from colleagues interested in a secondment opportunity, subject to agreement from their current manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the council's housing delivery, asset management, housing strategy and compliance functions, helping to shape the future of housing in York.
The role is responsible for delivering new affordable and zero-carbon homes, maintaining and improving existing housing assets, and driving service improvement across the housing portfolio as we continue our journey towards meeting the Housing Regulator requirements for a C1.
The role will also play a key part in responding to the recent inspectors' report, putting in place the necessary plans and driving their delivery. Working closely with senior leaders, Members, residents and partners, you will provide strategic leadership, oversee major programme and projects and lead a multidisciplinary management team.
