Yearsley Grove Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistant to work supporting a SEND child between 8.45 am and 3.15 pm on a Monday and Friday with a 30 minute lunchtime. Starting on 7 September 2026. This will involve working 1:1 with a Year 2 child with complex needs. This will be a temporary post progressing through the school until the child leaves us at the end of Year 6; should the child leave the school before reaching Year 6 the post will end.
Responsibilities
- Support a Year 2 child with complex needs on a 1:1 basis during the school day.
- Assist in developing the child’s independence in the classroom.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to support the child’s specific needs and maintain a conducive learning environment.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience of working with young children is necessary.
- Experience of developing a child’s independence in the classroom.
- A willingness to develop the ability to support the child with their specific needs.
