About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Teacher to join our team. This unique opportunity allows you to shape the learning experiences of some of York’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people across Key Stages 1 and 2 within our Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) setting.

Responsibilities

  • Teach to a very high standard and model constructive behaviour for learning practice across the school.
  • Plan, assess and deliver lessons in line with the guidance of the Learning and Achievement Policy.
  • Act as a keyworker for an identified caseload of students, supporting their overall progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications & Eligibility

  • Relevant teaching experience and a passion for working with vulnerable adolescents.
  • Must undertake and satisfy an enhanced Criminal Record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
  • Compliance with the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009, including completion of a Disqualification Declaration where required.
