This is a great opportunity for a skilled and professional planner to manage, negotiate and assess a varied caseload of complex and major planning applications that will shape the future of our city. York has an outstanding built and natural environment, and our planners have a crucial role in balancing significant development pressures with the city’s special qualities and the challenge of climate change.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, negotiate and assess a varied caseload of complex and major planning applications.
- Utilise extensive knowledge of the planning system to deal with a wide range of planning proposals, including ‘major’ applications.
Qualifications
- Holder of a degree and an RTPI recognised professional planning qualification.
- Extensive knowledge of the planning system and experience of dealing with a wide range of planning proposals, including ‘major’ applications.
- Should possess or be eligible for RTPI membership.
- Please note, we do not have a sponsorship licence and therefore are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
