The Joseph Rowntree School is looking to recruit an exceptional Pastoral Administrator to support the School’s Pastoral Team in a wide range of activities.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Staff a student reception, provide administrative support, act as the first point of contact for the team, book meetings and visits from other professionals, and organise the completion and distribution of documentation.
  • Must be a team player, build positive relationships with students and all staff, maintain strict confidentiality, be dynamic and flexible, and seek better ways of working.
  • Demonstrable experience in key areas is required, and willingness to learn new skills is essential.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts while maintaining the ability to carry out tasks independently and develop appropriate systems.
  • Highly organised, reliable and able to prioritise conflicting workloads.
  • Possess strong ICT skills, familiarity with databases and various software packages, an excellent telephone manner, and effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Positive approach is essential; working in schools is rewarding but challenging, with varied daily demands.
