Acomb Primary are seeking an enthusiastic Class Teacher for Year 6, 3 days a week. You will be job sharing with one of our assistant headteachers, working Wednesday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • We are looking for a teacher with the potential to be an excellent classroom teacher.
  • The role includes taking full responsibility for the class for three days, with a share of whole class and wider school responsibilities such as:
    • Communicating with parents
    • Attending CPD including staff meetings
    • Running parents’ evening meetings
    • Completing assessments and examining data alongside colleagues
    • Keeping classroom and shared area displays in line with school policies
    • Keeping the classroom environment as a stimulating and engaging place to learn
  • You must be flexible, adaptable, hardworking and have a good sense of humour.
  • You will work as part of a phase team alongside experienced teachers.
