SCHOOL VACANCY
The post holder will work as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team based within the new Danesgate REACH Hub, providing professional outreach, liaison, and advisory services to mainstream schools and short-stay PRU teams within Danesgate. The primary aim of this role is to promote a positive, inclusive, and solution-oriented environment across pupils mainstream educational setting, ensuring the social, emotional, and behavioural well-being of pupils can flourish. This will be primarily at primary but will also include support at KS3 secondary.
Operating as part of a dedicated team of three staff members under the direction of the REACH Hub Manager, the post holder will provide high-quality guidance, support, and strategic advice to classroom teachers and middle leaders who are working with challenging, disruptive, or difficult pupils in mainstream settings. The role focuses on delivering practical ideas, modelling effective intervention frameworks (including de-escalation techniques and unconditional positive regard practices), conducting pupil observations, and working collaboratively with teaching colleagues, families, and LA partners to minimise learning barriers and reduce the risk of suspensions for pupils they work with.
