Overview
The Building, Property Information & Monitoring Team are looking to appoint a Local Land and Property Gazetteer Officer. This is an internal vacancy.
Responsibilities
- Continue the development and maintenance of the Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG) which links to the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG).
- Promote the LLPG as the Council's corporate land and property database across services requiring address data.
- Support the Business Intelligence team in integrating the LLPG within the Council’s Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) to provide greater access to the LLPG across Council services.
- Deliver a Street Naming and Numbering Service for members of the public and developers, which requires good communication skills and initiative.
- Assist other team members with Local Land Charges duties as required.
- Note: This is a hybrid role based at West Offices, York. The post is suitable as a job sharing position.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ideally, experience in a similar role or experience working with databases.
- Excellent IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn new systems quickly and with limited supervision.
- Ability to read and understand Ordnance Survey maps is essential.
- Ability to converse with members of the public in spoken English to CEFR level C1, capable of providing advice and guidance; the role is public facing.
- There may be a need to assist with Local Land Charges duties as required.

Please note visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This is a hybrid role and your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
