Role Overview

Lead small teams of people with learning disabilities in an organic land crop operation across two sites, including a walled garden. Oversee crop rotation planning, cultivation, soil care, and sales of produce to shop and local businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage crop rotations and site operations for land crops.
  • Co‑ordinate the growing of organic vegetable and fruit crops across the walled garden and main site.
  • Supervise and support a small team, fostering learning and development.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance and maintain accurate documentation in the IT system.
  • Track team welfare and create a supportive work environment.
  • Maintain records and produce cycle reports.

Qualifications

  • Confirmed knowledge of organic growing or relevant experience.
  • Experience in team or people management.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to build connections.
  • Ability to work with people with a range of abilities.
