This is an exciting opportunity to join our compassionate, inclusive, and values-driven organisation during a significant period of change as we continue our transition to integrated commissioning across the Local Authority (CYC) and the Integrated Care Board (ICB). We are seeking a motivated individual with substantial NHS or Local Authority commissioning experience. As a member of the Integrated Commissioning Team, you will collaborate with the Team Manager and ICB partners to provide technical commissioning advice, ensuring effective communication and implementation across organizations, while developing systems and processes for robust commissioning and reporting. This role also involves collaborating with various directorates to ensure that the Commissioning Cycle is effectively embedded throughout the organisation. A strong understanding of legislation, excellent communication skills, and experience in performance management and team evaluation are essential. You will represent health and social care commissioning, navigating organisational boundaries to align with national and local priorities. In partnership with contract managers, you will oversee the commissioning and contracting of services, ensuring that contracts meet the ICB and CYC core priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Team Manager and ICB partners to provide technical commissioning advice and ensure effective communication and implementation across organisations.
- Develop systems and processes for robust commissioning and reporting.
- Collaborate with various directorates to embed the Commissioning Cycle throughout the organisation.
- Represent health and social care commissioning and navigate organisational boundaries to align with national and local priorities.
- Work with contract managers to oversee the commissioning and contracting of services, ensuring contracts meet ICB and CYC core priorities.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Substantial NHS or Local Authority commissioning experience.
- Strong understanding of legislation, excellent communication skills, and experience in performance management and team evaluation.
- Able to converse in spoken English at CEFR level C1 during the interview.
This vacancy is available as a secondment opportunity. Candidates must seek permission of their current line manager before applying for a secondment. Hybrid working arrangements are available. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team, with working arrangements determined during recruitment.
